Fun and creative piano lessons

We offer individual piano lessons at our studio and also online, specialising in creative and fun lessons for primary-school-aged children as well as preschoolers.

Fun, exploration and creativity is at the centre of all our lessons – fostering a lifelong love of music is of upmost importance. Students develop confidence by composing, playing musical games and exploring what they can do on the piano. Every achievement is recognised and praised.

Lessons they love

Every student’s lessons are individual to them. A variety of modern methods and resources are used to tailor lessons to each student’s unique interests and goals. This ensures every student is excited to learn and feels involved in the decision-making.

Beginner students immediately start by creating and inventing. They learn the basics of great technique already in the first lessons (usually without yet realising it!). They focus on listening to the music they’re creating and focus on how it feels to play the piano.

A creative approach

Putting creativity first and using a rote-learning/imitation approach helps each student concentrate on good playing technique from the very start. We believe this is a much better way to begin than the student being fully immersed on deciphering musical notes on a page. Learning how to read music is introduced as a more natural step after the student can already confidently play a few pieces.

Not just for beginners

For those students who are not a beginner, lessons still involve a good amount of creating and exploring, as well as some imitation playing in order to focus on developing good technique and listening skills. This is always much easier when your head is not stuck inside a book!
