Welcome to my studio
Music has always been essential to my life (what a terrible place the world would be without it!).
I grew up in Australia and started teaching myself piano as soon as I could reach the keys. At age five I began traditional piano lessons. I started teaching piano when I was a teenager. After studying piano at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, I started my working life teaching classroom music to secondary school students while running a private piano studio.
When the desire to see the world became too strong to ignore, I packed up my life and changed course, swapping music teaching for language teaching.
My career (and life) became rather varied after making that decision, but teaching was always present in some form (because I love it).
I set up my home studio in 2019, finally returning to music teaching, the thing I feel most passionate about. It’s a privilege to share my passion for music and my love for the piano.
I love learning from my students and being inspired by them, changing my approach to suit their changing needs. But above all, I love my role in making music an essential part of my students’ lives.
